It all started a few weeks ago when Jared shared with fans on his Twitter the most exciting news.  He and Gen are expecting their first child!  At Salute to Supernatural in Chicago, Jared said they were expecting a boy and he was due in March. 

When asked about where fans could send gifts to the blessed couple, Jared sent this request via his Twitter:

@jarpad:  PLEASE PLEASE send gifts not to us, but to St. Jude's Children's Hospital! Lets make the world a brighter place for those not as fortunate.

Winchester Bros immediately jumped into action, setting up a fundraiser and a goal to raise $20,000 on the Padlecki's behalf.  Donations can be made through First Giving.  So far, they are well on their way to the $20,000 goal.  When the fundraiser is completed, a name of all those that donated will be given to Jared and Gen.  

Jared has since sweetened the incentive.  In an interview with Tonic.com, Jared shares some info about he and Gen preparing for this blessed event and offers on incentive for those that want to donate to St. Jude's.  For those that donate $10 or more, send a receipt to Jennifer@Tonic.com and someone at random will be chosen to receive a thank you Tweet from Jared and Gen.  

Supernatural fans, you have been so generous in the past, and we're certain here at the Crossroads that you'll come through again.  No amount is too small.  Don't have funds to donate?  Then help spread the word about St. Judes and all the amazing work they do.  No child is ever denied treatment, no matter the race, religion, or financial situation.  This is why Jared and Gen chose St. Jude's:
